ESG Advisory - Senior Consultant
Roles Summary / Purpose
The candidate selected for this role will provide leadership in delivering ESG advisory services, guiding clients in the development of tailored sustainability strategies and positioning them for long-term success in a sustainable future. The role will focus on leading carbon management and climate risk management projects, creating effective sustainability risk frameworks, conducting comprehensive scenario analyses for physical and transition risks, and developing customized solutions that address the unique needs of each client. By driving value-added solutions, this position aims to help clients navigate sustainability challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Job Scope
- Lead the development of sustainability and decarbonization strategies, including GHG assessment and disclosure, emission reduction, sector-specific decarbonization plans/solutions, and the creation of sustainable/transition frameworks.
- Lead the execution of climate risk management projects, including the development of climate/sustainability risk frameworks, scenario analysis for physical and transition risks, and tailored methodologies for clients.
- Support clients in identifying and evaluating the ESG risks, and effectively translate these insights into actionable opportunities and impactful business outcomes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to proactively generate new business opportunities, while fostering and strengthening long-term relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders.
- Lead the development of Sustainability Framework and preparation of Sustainability Report in according to the local and international recognised standards.
- Responsible for the creation and development of comprehensive training materials for climate and carbon-related offerings, ensuring content is insightful, impactful, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Managing team performance and provide clear direction and guidance to engagement teams for multiple projects to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
Qualifications/Educatio & Work Experience
- Preferably degree in engineering, sustainability, environmental science, economics, business management or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in sustainability management and reporting.
- Master degrees and professional certification in ESG topics are advantageous.
- Possess a deep understanding of ESG/Sustainability issues, relevant tools, standards, regulations, and frameworks.
- Sound knowledge in areas such as GHG accounting, decarbonization pathways, climate-related risk assessment, and carbon markets is important, with experience in carbon and renewable energy markets being highly desirable.
- Able and willing to travel around the country and overseas, if necessary.
