Assistant Audit Manager
GYK is a professional services firm with more than 40 years of presence in Singapore and APAC. As a firm, GYK focuses on Audit, Tax, Corporate Secretary, Consulting and M&A across APAC region. Our audit team helps clients to meet their local statutory and regulatory (MAS) requirements. You may also be tasked to support on tax compliance support to clients.
We are currently looking for an audit associate to support our audit team from Kuala Lumpur office.
Role and Responsibilities
Audit Execution:
· Assist in planning, executing, and completing audit engagements for Singapore-based clients, in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
· Perform risk assessments, analytical procedures, and detailed testing.
Client Management:
· Coordinate with Singapore clients to gather audit evidence and resolve queries efficiently.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure seamless communication during the audit process.
Team Collaboration:
· Supervise and mentor junior auditors on audit engagements.
· Ensure audit work adheres to internal quality standards and deadlines.
Regulatory Compliance:
· Stay updated with relevant Singapore audit and regulatory developments.
· Ensure compliance with Singapore's ACRA requirements, audit guidelines, and reporting standards.
Reporting:
· Draft financial statements and management letters based on Singapore standards.
· Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is an advantage.
· 5 years of audit experience, preferably with exposure to Singapore audits.
· Strong knowledge of SFRS and Singapore regulatory requirements.
· High sense of responsibility and urgency
· Strong logical & analytical thinking
· Proficiency in speaking and writing for both English & Mandarin (Able to liaise with Mandarin speaking external stakeholders)
· Good in self-planning and imitative driven
· Good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
· Meticulous and detail-oriented.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
· Team player and keen learner

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
