Content Creator (ESL Curriculum)

We are seeking a creative and versatile Content Creator to join our team and support the development of innovative and engaging ESL curriculum materials for kindergarten and primary school students. The Content Creator will play a key role in creating engaging, age-appropriate content that aligns with our curriculum framework and supports student learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ESL pedagogy, a passion for creating educational content, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development
- Develop a variety of engaging and culturally relevant content for ESL curriculum materials, including:
- Lesson plans, Workbooks, Worksheets, Flashcards, Games, Digital resources
- Ensure that content is aligned with the curriculum framework and meets the specific needs of ESL learners.
- Incorporate multimedia elements, such as videos, audio clips, and interactive activities, to enhance learning.
Digital Content Creation
- Design and develop interactive digital resources, such as online games, quizzes, and animations.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to create visually appealing and user-friendly digital materials.
- Ensure compatibility of digital resources across different devices and platforms.
Content Review and Editing
- Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with curriculum objectives.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and teachers to provide feedback and make necessary revisions.
Research and Innovation
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and research in ESL education to incorporate innovative approaches into content creation.
- Explore new technologies and tools that can enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English Language Teaching, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of ESL pedagogy and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Creative and innovative mindset.
- Proficiency in using design and content creation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, HTML, CSS).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Desired Skills
- Experience in developing educational content for young learners.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and tools.
- Knowledge of specific ESL teaching frameworks or methodologies.
- Experience working in multilingual or multicultural educational settings.
Work Environment
- The position may involve collaboration with a diverse team, including educators, subject matter experts, and designers.
- Flexibility to work remotely or on-site, depending on the project’s needs.
Job Highlights
- 8 days of annual leave and 14 days of sick leave.
Location & Working Hours
- Location: Butterworth, Penang.
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Holidays: 11 Public Holidays observed.
