We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to lead the development of our innovative ESL curriculum for kindergarten and primary school students. The Project Manager will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting to execution and evaluation. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a passion for education, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of educators, developers, and designers.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Identify and manage project risks and dependencies.
  • Create a project budget and track expenses.
  • Create timely project reports for stakeholders and sponsors.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate a team of curriculum developers, content creators, graphic designers, EdTech developers, and teacher trainers.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including school administrators, teachers, parents, funders and supporters.
  • Gather feedback and ensure that the project aligns with their needs and expectations.

Curriculum Development

  • Oversee the development of curriculum materials, including lesson plans, worksheets, digital resources, and assessments.
  • Ensure that the curriculum is aligned with educational standards and meets the specific needs of ESL learners.

Technology Integration

  • Collaborate with the EdTech developer to identify and integrate appropriate technologies into the curriculum.
  • Ensure that digital resources are user-friendly and accessible to teachers and students.

Teacher Training

  • Coordinate the development and delivery of teacher training programs on the new curriculum.
  • Ensure that teachers have the necessary skills and knowledge to implement the curriculum effectively.
  • Evaluation and Reporting:
  • Collect and analyze data on the effectiveness of the curriculum.
  • Prepare regular project reports for stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the education or technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to improving student outcomes.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in the field of ESL education.
  • Knowledge of educational technology trends and best practices.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and challenges.

Job Highlights

  • 8 days of annual leave and 14 days of sick leave.

Location & Working Hours

  • Location: Butterworth, Penang.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Holidays: 11 Public Holidays observed.
