  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative EdTech Developer to join our team and drive the integration of technology into our ESL curriculum for kindergarten and primary school students. The EdTech Developer will work closely with the curriculum developer, content creator, and teacher trainer to identify and implement cutting-edge educational technologies that enhance student learning and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of educational technology, a passion for innovation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of educators.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Integration

  • Identify and evaluate educational technologies that align with the curriculum objectives and support student learning.
  • Develop strategies for integrating technology into classroom instruction and activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to teachers on the use of educational technologies.

Digital Platform Development

  • Design and develop custom digital platforms or applications to support the curriculum and enhance student engagement.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to create user-friendly and visually appealing digital tools.
  • Ensure compatibility of digital resources across different devices and platforms.

Learning App Development

  • Develop interactive learning apps that support language acquisition, literacy, and cognitive development.
  • Incorporate gamification elements and personalized learning features to enhance student motivation and engagement.

Collaboration Tools

  • Implement collaboration tools and platforms to facilitate communication and collaboration between students, teachers, and parents.
  • Support online learning and remote instruction.

Digitized Assessments

  • Develop and implement digitized assessments that align with the curriculum objectives and provide valuable feedback to students and teachers.
  • Explore the use of adaptive testing and other innovative assessment methods.

Online Training

  • Develop and deliver online training modules for teachers on the use of educational technologies.
  • Create engaging and interactive online training materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills and experience with relevant development tools (e.g., Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
  • Knowledge of educational technology trends and best practices.
  • Experience in developing educational software or applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with ESL pedagogy and teaching methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and developing digital learning resources for young learners.
  • Knowledge of specific educational technology frameworks or standards.

Work Environment

  • The position may involve collaboration with a diverse team, including educators, subject matter experts, and designers.
  • Flexibility to work remotely or on-site, depending on the project’s needs.

Job Highlights

  • 8 days of annual leave and 14 days of sick leave.

Location & Working Hours

  • Location: Butterworth, Penang.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Holidays: 11 Public Holidays observed.
