We are currently hiring an Associate Reinsurance Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate and book Reinsurance Technical Accounts and Claim Advice.
- Ensure closings and documents are received timely and are in order to meet quarter closing requirements.
- Prompt feedback/ response on technical issues raised by Hannover Re clients, brokers, underwriters, or any other related stakeholders to ensure all bookings are correct.
- up on missing accounts diligently in order to close off open items.
- Prompt and continuous monitoring of accounts with unresolved concerns - which is immediately available for underwriters' meetings/ discussions with clients/ brokers to ensure that issues are resolved
- Perform Forecast & Estimation for portfolio assigned as well as analysis of portfolio.
- Thorough & meticulous review of treaty premiums and claims on a quarterly basis, as well as true-up analysis to ensure accuracy. Review, comment, and
- up on exception reports provided by FA-GRO and correct bookings in SAP FS-RI
- Perform credit control tasks (FS-CD) and ensure that old outstanding balances are followed up with client and unmatched payments/ receipts are cleared.
- Work closely with underwriters and claims specialist to provide information relating to portfolio assigned.
- Take up key user roles.
- Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by Supervisor/ CFO
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance related industry.
- Experience in working with diverse teams of different cultures, backgrounds, and environments.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, relying on sound judgment.
- Ability to adapt to a team environment, providing consistent and collaborative service to the business.
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and communication skills, as you will be in constant communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
