Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities:
The incumbent will be responsible and act as the main focal point in leading/implementing improvement initiatives and projects that supports the transactional and reporting governance, which brings overall efficiency to the process. This includes being the key support to the Record to Report (RTR) team in solutioning of key process challenges and working with Global/cross functional teams towards optimal standardization.
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement:
Participate in Global / Regional projects impacting the operations, including requirements gathering, UAT, implementation of technical solutions and post implementation support.
Analyze business scenario determine on correct solution, ensure the solutions meets business needs and carried out in accordance with global compliance standards
Provide preliminary assessment on system capabilities against business requirements
Perform UAT on the business solutions, implementation, monitoring and provision of post implementation support
Continuous Improvement:
Track & drive key initiatives leading to operational efficiency e.g. reduction in manual journals, accruals management etc.
Identify and make recommendations that optimize business processes and improve financial and internal controls and other business practices through simplification & automation opportunities
Understand the concerns and operational issues from respective team and provide suggestions to improve or close the gaps to achieve overall KPI targets
Deliver solid knowledge training, updates, and briefings to team to ensure full understanding of process and procedures after each project / enhancement carried out.
Operational Excellence:
Support in managing audit checks and ensuring adherence to balance sheet reconciliations
Key RTR meetings secretariat – ensure coordination and closure of key actions of performance, governance meetings
Provide ongoing support and expertise in day -to- day operations, including some trouble shooting and issues resolutions

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:
Degree in Accounting or professional Accounting qualifications such as CPA, MIA, ACCA,CIMA or its equivalent.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of financial and management accounting exposure in Corporate Business.
Practical process and technical expertise in the area of Record to Report, with proven record of key improvement projects and initiatives
Experience in project management and methodology is an added advantage
Proficiency in SAP, Blackline and reporting tools will be required
Background with BI tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau is an added advantage
Ability to work with ambiguity, and apply critical thinking and out-o- box possibilities and solutioning
