Shift Technician Data Centre

Position Overview:
The Shift Technician, reporting to the Shift Lead, is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the data center to ensure uptime and smooth operation of critical systems. This role requires working in rotating shifts for 24/7 coverage, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain critical infrastructure systems such as cooling, power distribution, UPS, generators, and fire suppression systems.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
• Respond quickly to alarms and incidents, troubleshooting and performing repairs as needed.
• Assist with the implementation and integration of new systems and equipment.
• Use Building Management Systems (BMS) and other tools to manage facility operations effectively.
• Collect and analyze data from monitoring systems to optimize performance and identify potential issues.
• Work with vendors and service providers to resolve troubleshooting and repair needs.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Report safety hazards or incidents to the Shift Supervisor/Manager promptly.
• Coordinate with other shift technicians and support staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuous operations.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in data center operations or a similar role.
• Technical proficiency in data center systems and operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance standards.

Additional Information:

• Working Hours: 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Location: Nusajaya, Johor.
• Multiple allowances: phone allowance, meal allowance, and night shift allowances.
