Job Summary:
The OpenShift Administrator will manage and maintain OpenShift Container Platform environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and scalability of containerized workloads. The administrator will work closely with DevOps, development teams, and infrastructure teams to support applications running in OpenShift and maintain best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- OpenShift Platform Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain OpenShift clusters (on-premises or cloud-based).
- Manage and upgrade OpenShift clusters and underlying Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Monitor cluster health, resource utilization, and performance metrics.
- Container Management:
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift features.
- Troubleshoot issues related to pods, services, and networking in OpenShift.
- Implement security policies and best practices for container environments.
- Automation and CI/CD:
- Integrate OpenShift with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions).
- Automate repetitive tasks using Ansible, Helm charts, and OpenShift templates.
- Networking and Storage:
- Configure networking components such as ingress controllers, load balancers, and service meshes.
- Manage persistent storage solutions (e.g., GlusterFS, NFS, or dynamic storage provisioning).
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Implement monitoring solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK for cluster observability.
- Resolve platform incidents and provide on-call support for production environments.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work with development teams to design and deploy containerized solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, playbooks, and runbooks.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and components.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration (preferably RHEL or CentOS).
- Experience with container technologies like Docker.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, firewalls, load balancers).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go).
Preferred:
- Certification in OpenShift (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools like Splunk, Fluentd, or Kibana.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM1,307.81 - RM11,294.19 per month
