Job Description

A receptionist is responsible for providing administrative support and customer service to clients, guests, and visitors.

Core duties and responsibilities:

  • Greeting and welcoming guests and visitors with a professional and friendly demeanour.
  • Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, and responding to emails and other correspondence.
  • Providing information to guests and clients about the organization's products, services, and policies.
  • Registering hotel guests with accurate information and payment to be received accurately before issuing keycard or permitting the guest into their assigned guest room.
  • Making reservation accurately and promptly.
  • Coordinating with Housekeeping team on check in and out procedures.
  • Following strict protocols and following hotel policies.
  • Managing and organizing incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
  • Maintaining and organizing hotel communal areas, including keeping it clean and tidy and ensuring that all necessary materials and supplies are stocked and readily available.
  • Collecting and processing payments from clients (OTAs) and customers, as necessary.
  • Performing basic administrative tasks, such as photocopying, filing, and data entry.
  • Assisting with other tasks and projects, as needed by their respective immediate superior or Higher authorised personnel.
  • Resolving guest complaint.
  • Ensuring workstation area are proper and clean and presentable at all times.

The hotel receptionist should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational and multitasking abilities. They should be able to work well under pressure and handle difficult situations with ease. Additionally, proficiency in using office equipment and software, such as Microsoft Office, property management systems and phone systems, is required.

1. Customer Service/Relation Management

  • Manage all media with prompt responses
  • Checking reviews
  • Understanding customer requirements

2. Revenue

  • Meeting targets
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly forecasts to meet target
  • Data mining for revenue management

3. PMS Accuracy

4. Monthly Reports

Job Requirements:

  • SPM or higher qualifications in related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of related working experience. (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in spoken and written in English and BM. (spoken Mandarin will be an added advantage)
  • Good computer skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
