Teaching and Learning

  • Plans and conducts dance routines, choreographies, and activities for students according to the dance programme syllabus
  • Prepares props, materials and classroom setting for class activities and competitions
  • Observe, evaluate and assess students' dance performance progress, motor and cognitive skills, social development, and physical health
  • Performs various administrative duties such as taking attendance, organizing the classroom, and responding to parents’ enquiries related to dance progress
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and correct student records as required
  • Effectively communicates with students, parents and other stakeholders via verbal and written communication

Professional Growth

  • Maintaining professional development through attendance at dance competitions, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced course work at institutions of higher learning
  • Attending staff, department, and programme meetings as required

Qualifications:

  • Diploma degree or equivalent in education or related field
  • At least PMR qualification in English and Mandarin
  • Minimum 2 years experience in dance
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching dance
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Pro-active and self motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and a good team player

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RM30.00 - RM150.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
