Teaching and Learning
- Plans and conducts dance routines, choreographies, and activities for students according to the dance programme syllabus
- Prepares props, materials and classroom setting for class activities and competitions
- Observe, evaluate and assess students' dance performance progress, motor and cognitive skills, social development, and physical health
- Performs various administrative duties such as taking attendance, organizing the classroom, and responding to parents’ enquiries related to dance progress
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct student records as required
- Effectively communicates with students, parents and other stakeholders via verbal and written communication
Professional Growth
- Maintaining professional development through attendance at dance competitions, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced course work at institutions of higher learning
- Attending staff, department, and programme meetings as required
Qualifications:
- Diploma degree or equivalent in education or related field
- At least PMR qualification in English and Mandarin
- Minimum 2 years experience in dance
- Minimum 1 year of teaching dance
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Pro-active and self motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as participate within the team
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, possess a mature attitude and a good team player
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: RM30.00 - RM150.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
