Occupational Therapist (Johor bahru)

Job Description:

We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to develop, recover or maintain the daily living and work skills of people with physical, mental or developmental conditions. You will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable people to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities. The successful candidate will have a holistic perspective and will be able to adapt the environment to fit the person.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Address kids’ aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life quality

2. Select and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventions

3. Teach kids new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components

4. Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use

5. Guide and educate family members and caregivers

6. Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals

7. Collect data and document processes followed

8. Regularly follow-up client.

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma or Degree in Occupational therapy or equivalent.

2. Registered member in Malaysian Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA).

3. At least 2 year of working experience in a similar capacity role especially in paediatric field.

4. Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy

5. Have current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession

6. Professional behaviour

7. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM2,800.00 per month

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• Occupational Therapy: 1 year (Preferred)
