Position Title

Technician, Aircraft Support Workshop

Reports To

Aircraft Support Workshop Leading Hand.

Role Purpose

To undertake the technical handling, servicing, maintenance, repair, rectification and certification of respective aircraft parts or processes in accordance with company and relevant Airworthiness Authorities approved methods and procedures within the agreed turnaround time. .

Key Accountability

  • To carry out and certify, overhaul, inspection, repair, replacement, servicing of customer aircraft parts and components.
  • To update Leading Hand on the defect status on the aircraft parts and the progress of maintenance work on the aircraft or in the workshop.
  • To assist Leading Hand in maintaining records of workshop assigned assets, equipment and facilities.
  • To clocked-in all man-hours spent on assigned task diligently into the system.
  • To carry out assessment of task for purpose of manpower distributions.
  • To identify and order spares according to task requirements.
  • To ensure a clean and safe workshop environment inclusive of staff crew room by adapting proper housekeeping requirements.
  • To assist Foreman in enforcement of good staff discipline.
  • To assist in the maintenance and up-keeping of all technical publications.
  • To ensure availability of proper safety equipment and observance of safety measures while working on the aircraft or in workshops.
  • To carry out any other task as directed by the superior.

Qualifications & Working Experience

  • Diploma in Aviation Engineering or equivalent
  • More than 2 years’ experience working in Aircraft support workshop environment

Skill & Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of aircraft support workshop management and familiarity with regulatory requirements.
  • SPM certificate with minimum 2 years of aircraft maintenance training from an Approved Training Organization or 3 years of working maintenance experience in a Part 145 aircraft support workshop environment.
  • Good knowledge of aircraft support workshop practice and familiarity with regulatory requirements.
