- Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards, and maintaining consistent quality throughout service.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff and line cooks working in your section, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operation and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor inventory levels for your section, place orders for necessary ingredients, and ensure proper storage and handling of all food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
- Responsible for plating and decorating dishes to ensure presentation standards.
- Follow recipes and food safety standards to maintain food quality and safety.
- Coordinate and support kitchen team during busy periods.
- Participate in the development and testing of new dishes, and adjust menus and food offerings as needed.
- Relevant culinary or hospitality degree or certificate, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in a similar role or position, with a strong background in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes.
- Language requirement: Mandarin
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods, with the ability to manage a specific section of the kitchen effectively, such as the grill, pastry, or sauce section.
- Strong leadership skills to supervise and train junior kitchen staff, excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with other team members, and the ability to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Basic understanding and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
