THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic team. Managing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, ensuring tax compliance, and leading teams. Strong attention to details, excellent analytical skills, and a proven ability to improve processes, drive cost efficiency, and contribute to organizational success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Financial Management
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure accurate and timely bank reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and statutory regulations.
2. Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide management with financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in preparing and monitoring annual budgets.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgets/forecasts.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
4. Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST, corporate taxes, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and support external and internal audits.
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions to facilitate audits and ensure transparency.
5. Team Collaboration and Leadership
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting and financial concerns.
- Propose process improvements to streamline accounting operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, or a professional accounting qualification.
- Able to speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, or equivalent) are preferred.
- 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Solid experience in preparing group consolidation reports, demonstrating ability to handle complex financial structures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced MS Excel skills.
