Responsibilities:
Responsible
- Improves products design, test processes and components used to meet agreed-upon product objectives.
- May redesign products or components to meet cost objectives, component technology obsolescence and customer requirements.
- Work with supply chain partners to assess manufacturing cost optimization and new component technology opportunities.
- Ensure products manufacturing meets business requirements, including the product lifecycle along with execution of the discontinuation.
- Participates in new product introduction and influences the design of the product to ensure manufacturability, enabling prototype testing and reliability testing during transition into production.
- Work with CM partners for outsourced products to meet deliveries, product performance and business objectives.
- Work with suppliers and/or material engineering on components quality, cost and delivery of parts.
- Manage the bill of material and product specification information.

A candidate who possesses the following skills and knowledge would have an advantage.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical, electronics or similar qualification.
- Typically 2-4 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge in utilizing test measurement equipment: spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, signal generator, network analyzer and power supply.
- Analogue/digital circuit design and layout using CAD.
- Experience in working with supplier and CM.
- Experience in using quality tools: 5 Whys, 8D report, Poka-Yoke, Six Sigma and LEAN.
