As a Guidewire developer at PwC, you will specialise in developing and customising applications using the Guidewire platform. Guidewire is a software suite that provides insurance companies with tools for policy administration, claims management, and billing. You will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing software solutions that meet the specific needs of insurance organisations.

Must-have skills

  • Knowledge/Experience in Java and algorithms are mandatory. Knowledge of other programming languages like C, C++, HTML and .NET is an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of OOPs and server exposure to Tomcat and others
  • Knowledge/experience in Scripting language (Python, Shell Script, Oracle, SQL)
  • Knowledge in key cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Exposure to agile methodology (SCRUM, Pair Programming) and tools (Jira, TFS).

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

  • BE/BTech in Computer Science, IT and Circuit Branches (Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Communications Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering) or related.
  • Object Oriented Programming;
  • Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, ContactManager and Portal;
  • Understanding of Guidewire cloud concepts is preferred;
  • GOSU, PCFs, Business Rules, Underwriting Rules and Guidewire Event; Messaging / Rules Framework;
  • Guidewire Integration Framework - Cloud APIs, App Events and Guidewire; Integration Gateway;
  • Rest Client API to consume rest services and Guidewire Integration Views;
  • Consuming/Publishing SOAP APIs and Rest APIs;
  • Guidewire Workflows and Forms development;
  • Guidewire Advanced Product Designer Native/Retrofit;
  • Spring Boot Application Development; and,
  • Experience working on tools like Git, Bit Bucket, TeamCity and Data Dog.
