Outlet Operations Executive
Purpose of post: To directly manage a restaurant outlet and to provide assistance to the Operations Manager to ensure smooth, daily outlet operations, so that the Operational Strategy is executed with success, with key performance indicators (KPIs) being consistently achieved.
Your role focus will be to independently oversee the delivery of efficient, smooth operations across all outlets, with particular focus on completing Outlet audits (FOH/BOH), following up with Outlet Heads to ensure company SOPs are properly completed, ensuring that outlet food and service quality standards and customer expectations are met, coordinating outlet staff training and development, assisting with outlet management reporting and executing operational strategies set by Operations Manager to ensure outlet financial targets and KPIs are achieved.
You will provide 1:1 support and guidance to the Outlet Managers and Supervisors, to ensure that outlets are successful, properly managed, clean, tidy, organised and well-maintained. This means ensuring the highest quality standards of food, drink and customer service are consistently delivered, to Cor Blimey's standards, and according to SOP. You will ensure that teams are organised, planned, use teamwork and communicate effectively, in order to deliver smooth service operations.
It is essential that you promote a work culture of professionalism, high standards, discipline, respect and care for our staff (and for each other), to ensure that every staff member is given a proper induction, trained properly to do their role, has ongoing 1:1 support from their line managers, and are happy, punctual and hard working.
You will deputise for the Operations Manager when they are on leave, to provide effective leadership and management across the entire business, as well as provide weekly reports to the Operational Manager.

Applicants must have at least 3 years' operations management experience and 5 years' Outlet Head experience, ideally in various multi-outlet restaurant chains. We are looking for candidates to have strong people management skills, have a positive attitude, be organised, punctual and understand how to effectively motivate, train and develop team members. You must be able to lead your area independently, work under high-pressure conditions, multi-task and deliver results quickly.
You MUST have a clear understanding of how to manage and improve BOH operations (i.e. ordering, stock control, waste management, completing SOPs) and FOH operations (i.e. customer service and dining experience, sales process, upselling, outlet maintenance and cleanliness), and have a track-record of delivering effective Operations and problem solving. Your role will be to lead, organise and guide our Outlet Managers and to work with our Outlet Chefs to ensure consistent food and service excellence and smooth service operations across our 3 outlets.
You will be responsible for ensuring our Operations systems and SOPs are adhered to by staff, daily, and be expected to make improvements to operations processes and business performance. You will oversee our staff training and development programme, including implementing effective induction plans for new joiners and retraining existing staff. A key focus will be retaining good existing staff and developing them into new roles. You will complete operations reports for management (i.e. outlet sales, production, customer reviews, service reports, waste management, upselling and staff training).
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
· Reporting to the Operations Manager and providing support, where required
· Overseeing and managing the FOH/BOH operations of our outlets to ensure success
· Setting high standards and objectives for outlets operation team, leading by example and communicating effectively with teams
· Monitor and enforce completion of operational SOP processes and documentation by outlet teams
· Encouraging and reinforce clear, frequent and effective communications across the outlets, to enable collaborative working and ensure actions are completed
· Leading the team of outlet managers/supervisors towards effective collaboration and attainment of KPIs and goals
· Ensuring strict compliance with company policies and procedures
· Providing solutions that address staff performance, attitude, behaviour, attendance and communication issues, in a timely and effective manner
· Working with the Operations Manager to execute the Operations Strategy and to help develop additional strategies to bring greater success
· Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports for Operations Manager, for outlet operational performance, customer service quality, food quality, food waste management and staff management
· Overseeing the recruitment, training, management and communication with staff, with assistance from HR & Admin Manager
· Ensuring our outlets are properly functioning, always maintained and clean
· Overseeing effective stock levels and ordering supplies
· Enforcing strict cash handling and management at outlets
· Closely monitors outlet operations and staff performance, and takes corrective action as necessary, to ensure that outlet budget goals are achieved
· Assures that effective induction, training and development (including STARS programme) for staff are planned and implemented
· Work effectively with suppliers to minimise costs and source better ingredients
· Behave professionally, respectfully and with discipline, as set out in the Employee Handbook and Employee Code of Conduct
· Ensure that all legal requirements for outlets are consistently adhered to (i.e. business licence, music licence, Bomba fire safety certification, staffing permits etc)
· Maintains appearance, preservation and cleanliness of all food and beverage equipment, kitchen areas, dining area, counters and restaurant facilities
· Responsible for the physical/aesthetic maintenance of the restaurant and resolving any maintenance issues, with authorisation on budget from Operations Manager
· Ensures all safety and security systems and procedures are followed to ensure health and safety of employees and customers
· Ensures established standards of food safety and sanitation are maintained (i.e. via good food storage, handling, preparation and cooking)
· Monitors employee attendance, attitude, performance and dress-code, according to policies and procedures, taking corrective action to resolve any issues
· Complete additional tasks, duties and work schedules, as deemed necessary by Operations Manager, on time and to high standards
