E-Commerce Business Development Specialist
About Us: Merlin Asia Sdn Bhd is a leading distributor specializing in a diverse range of grocery products, including both food and non-food items. As we expand our footprint in the e-commerce space, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced E-Commerce Business Development Specialist to spearhead the development of new sales channels, manage operations, and optimize P&L performance.
Position Overview: We are looking for an innovative and strategic E-Commerce Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for identifying and establishing new sales channels, enhancing team operations, and ensuring effective management of our P&L. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in branding and marketing, combined with practical experience liaising with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Amazon, TikTok, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Channel Development:
- Identify and develop new sales channels to increase market reach and revenue.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key e-commerce platforms and partners.
- Develop strategies to optimize product listings, promotions, and sales on platforms including Shopee, Lazada, Amazon, TikTok, and others.
- Team Support:
- Assist in building and supporting a high-performing e-commerce team.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development of training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- P&L Management:
- Monitor and assist in managing the P&L for e-commerce operations.
- Analyze financial performance and recommend strategies to improve profitability.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Branding and Marketing:
- Develop and implement branding and marketing strategies to enhance the company's online presence.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create compelling content and campaigns.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Performance Analysis:
- Track and analyze key performance metrics for e-commerce channels.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and operational efficiency.
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in e-commerce business development, sales channel management, or a related role.
- Proven track record of managing and growing e-commerce channels on platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, Amazon, TikTok, etc.
- Strong knowledge of branding, marketing, and digital sales strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and financial management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
