Position Summary:
We’re looking for a Channel Manager to lead our genetic sciences and clinical next generation sequencing businesses in Malaysia through distributor partnerships. In this role, you’ll focus on enhancing annual bookings targets, driving growth through strategic direction, and strengthening indirect sales channels. You’ll stay up to date with industry trends and identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion through the company's sales channels. Success will require a proactive approach to managing and optimizing distributor relationships, with about 30% travel across the nation. You’ll work collaboratively in a matrix environment, aligning with cross-functional teams to improve our value proposition and impact. Key Responsibilities:
* Develop positive relationships with distribution channels, optimizing routes to market and supporting partner-led sales and marketing activities.
* Select and onboard high-performing distributors while continually improving partner strategies.
* Implement distributor marketing plans to drive continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with internal teams to support partners in meeting targets and delivering Thermo Fisher’s value in the region.
* Providing channel demand forecast phasing based on market trends & channel activity.
* To develop and maintain key accounts and key opinion leaders in Malaysia including building and implementing strategies to drive market awareness, branding and market shares.
* Periodically reviewing key SKU/Range distribution, NPIs, market share, trade spend & volume within the channels.
* Conducting pre- and post-analysis of channel/customer promotions, highlighting results to define future more profitable plans.
* Coordinating Action Plans among collaborators in cases of Stock Constraints, and/or tactical reasons, for the Category in the SOP meetings.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 3-5 years of commercial experience in the malaysia region.
* Good knowledges and experiences in genetic sciences; and distributor relations.
* Strong leadership skills, with a track record of motivating distributor teams in matrix settings.
* Dedication to customer and partner happiness, with solid communication and analytical skills.
* Proficient in English, both written and spoken; familiar with SFDC systems.
