Scope of the Role

To lead the QC overall development, implementation of the organization’s Quality Management System. Develop and implement the Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support manufacturing and continually reviewing customer requirements. This position is required to performs a key role in maintaining the compliance to internal and external standards / policies and regulatory procedures. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that the products, services, and processes of the organization meet the required standards of quality and that the organization is meeting its customer requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies and procedures
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the quality control program, including inspections, tests, and audits
- Conduct regular internal and external quality control audits to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures
- Develop and maintain a system for monitoring and evaluating quality control data, and report findings to senior management
- Identify and investigate quality control issues and recommend solutions to improve the quality of products, services, and processes
- Work closely with the production, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure that quality control considerations are integrated into the design, development, and production processes
- Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products
- Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on quality control procedures and best practices
- To liaise with customers on continuous quality improvement programs, customer complaint and etc
- Carry out any other duties as requested and instructed by the superior
- Authorized to make final decision on incoming raw material, on-hold non-conforming product with justifications provided

- Accomplishes quality assurance human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
- Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis
- Gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external auditors and inspectorsTo lead and resolve any related issue regarding food quality, food safety and productivity
Perform other ad-hoc activities as and when required

Qualification, Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Degree in Food Science/Technology/Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 8-10 years of related working experience
Demonstrates sound technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proven, reliable self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Significant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably Food Industry
Thrive and excel in a fast paced, demanding environment
Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices, including ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and Six Sigma
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality control software such as Minitab
