Basic Functions • Maintenance Executive is responsible for the overall operation of Maintenance Department and to lead and manage the team of Maintenance Supervisor, Senior Maintenance Assistant and Maintenance Assistant. • Maintenance Executive is responsible to delegate daily work as well as to schedule monthly preventive maintenance program as per the guideline in the Operation Manual. • To administer and to monitor all policies, procedures and maintenance guideline are adhered accordingly. • To liase with other Departments within the Hotel and to ensure proper records, license and other Government Regulations and Procedures (in relation to technical aspects) are adhered by the Hotel. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Daily Briefing a) To administer and conduct daily briefing at the beginning of each shift. b) Delegate works and to assign ‘work order’ to staff. c) Responsible to ensure and monitor productivity level of each subordinate and to ensure smooth operation of the Department. 2. Departmental Reports a) To furnish to Management the Maintenance Department monthly report. Job Description – Maintenance Executive b) Prepare and administer Departmental Business Plan and Yearly Budget Plan. c) To furnish Management quarterly staff productivity and progress report. 3. Utility, Energy & Material Control a) To minimize and monitor energy consumption of the Hotel especially electricity and water and to plan for necessary action to minimize wastages to energy. b) To control parts usage for repair work and replacement work and to ensure adequate supply of tools and parts. 4. Preventive Maintenance a) To schedule and plan ‘Preventive Maintenance Program’ as indicated in the Operation manual and to ensure proper Preventive Maintenance is carried out to all Hotel equipment. b) To coordinate with Security Department and to advise accordingly on the measures to be taken to maintain security and safety equipment system i.e fire panel, fire extinguisher, doors, smoke detector and hydrant in good working condition and to ensure all authorities requirement being followed accordingly. 1. Technical Support a) To discharge expertise, knowledge and advice to all subordinates in order to minimize error and to improve performance of the Department. b) To conduct relevant training whenever necessary. c) Co-ordinate with other Departments to minimize guest inconvenience, safety and operating expenses.
