Veterinary Assistant

About the role We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Sri Petaling Vet Clinic in Kuala Lumpur. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinary professionals in providing exceptional care and treatment to our animal patients. This is a full-time position, and you will be based at our state-of-the-art clinic in the Sri Petaling area. What you'll be doing Assisting veterinarians and veterinary nurses with medical examinations, treatments, and procedures Performing basic tasks such as taking animal vital signs, collecting samples, and administering medications Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, including sterilising equipment and restocking supplies Providing excellent customer service by communicating with clients, scheduling appointments, and handling payment transactions Maintaining detailed medical records and inventory management Demonstrating a strong commitment to animal welfare and a compassionate approach to patient care What we're looking for Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred, but not essential Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and the veterinary team Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage a varied workload A genuine passion for animal welfare and a desire to contribute to the wellbeing of our patients Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to continuous professional development A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with the veterinary team
