Role: English Teacher for Secondary School Subject to teach: English Start date: July/August 2025 Job Requirement: • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, Education from an accredited University/institution. • Candidates possess professional or equivalent Teaching Qualification. • Good command of spoken and written in English. • At least 4 years of working experience in the related field and preferably experience teaching in an international school. • Preferably specializing in Education or equivalent. • Knowledge of relevant technology to enhance teaching & own administration. • Capable to teach IGCSE level, English Literature experience is required. Job Descriptions: • To teach English to a group of students from Secondary to A Level include English Literature. • Develop and implement policies and practices which reflect the school commitment to high achievement through effective teaching and learning. • Motivate and support other staff and encourage a shared understanding of the contribution they can make to all aspects of student lives. • Develop plans for the subject which identify clear targets, times-scales and success criteria for its development and/or maintenance in line with the school development/improvement plan. • Arrange at least one meeting a month with Secondary Staff in your Department: giving feedback to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on these developments. • Ensure continuity and progression in the subject by supporting colleagues in choosing the appropriate sequence of teaching and teaching methods and set clear learning objectives through an agreed scheme of work. • Establish clear targets for achievement in the subject and evaluate progress through the use of appropriate assessments and records and regular yearly analysis of this data with the Assistant Principal Secondary. • Use relevant school, local and national data to inform targets for development and further improvement for individuals and group of students. • Ensure that the SLT and Governors are well informed about policies, plans, priorities and targets for the subject. • Support the School by maintaining efficient and effective management and organization of learning resources, by developing or identifying new resources to the subject.
