SENIOR MECHANIC

"1. Carries out rescue and maintain a high repair standard to ensure a one-time fix for minor incident case. 2. To coordinate and liaise closely with parties involved to quickly resolve truck breakdown 3. Servicing, inspection, repair and maintenance to ensure minimum downtime, ensuring quality job in compliance with safely standard 4. Perform and follow all maintenance and/or service schedules (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly services, servicing sheet) as assigned to ensure consistent and satisfactory performance 5. Attend to unit/any related equipment or vehicle breakdown as assigned 6. Report any accident/near miss to safety committee members, or to direct manager soonest possible without fail. 7. Learn all operation checks and tasking on all type of equipment for preventive maintenance 8. Ensure all spare parts replacement is authorized by Head of Department 9. Follows safety policies, practices, administration etc. are enforced and compliance 10. To perform preventative maintenance activities/schedule 11. To arrange and send the vehicle to workshop for repair 12. To maintain and clean equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in safe and usable conditions at all times 13. To plan and execute to Maintenance plans. 14. Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair methods in accordance with equipment manufacturers’ recommended procedures. 15. Compliance to legislation & regulatory requirement. 16. Continuous improvement in maintenance practices. 17. Follow, validate and complete work instructions provided on Repair Orders according to principal standards. 18. Report in writing any repair or defect which may render a vehicle unsafe. 19. Create and transmit Vehicle Diagnostic Logs for every repair. 20. Take appropriate precautions to ensure vehicles are not damaged while under repair. 21. Complete administration duties directly after completing a repair. 22. Ensure the status of vehicles are properly updated. 23. Make sure the truck is ready based on the promised time 24. Work hours and duty roster may change depending on duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time. 25. Comply with directions and instructions from Head of Department and perform other task or responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time."
