We are seeking a Business Lead for Swift Digital Channels Workflow, Data and Integration to join the Customer Interactions Tribe to drive transformation, innovation and shaping the future of a dynamic organization.

This candidate will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing our CI product portfolio strategy while leading an exceptional team.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who can build strategies and value-driven roadmap , connect the dots and ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and industry trends.

Initially, this role will focus on leading the CI aspect of the Simplify program, a company-wide priority aimed at transforming the current Swift back-office systems that handle the Order to Finance processes.
Role will involve fostering innovation and collaboration by acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensuring strong communication and alignment. You will oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation through delivery, ensuring that all products deliver value and meet customer needs. Leading and mentoring a team, you’ll create an environment that promotes high performance and growth. By staying ahead of market trends and encouraging experimentation, you will drive innovation and ensure our products remain at the cutting edge. With a deep understanding of the business, you’ll connect diverse areas to align strategic goals and promote CI capabilities to solve business challenges, ensuring measurable organizational impact. As a key leader, you will also shape the success and culture of your Tribe, ensuring cohesion and alignment across the organization.

Customer Interaction tribe overview:

You will work within the Customer Interactions (CI) Tribe, a 130+ people organization split across two main sites: La Hulpe, Belgium and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The CI Tribe builds and supports the tools through which Swift and our customers interact – eg: our websites, order to fulfillment applications, support tools, Swift event platform, self-service and customer master data solutions.

Simplify project Overview:

Simplify program is a company-wide priority to transform the current Swift back-office systems responsible of the Order to Finance processes. The program aims at addressing system obsolescence and align our technology with market trends. At the same time, the program will simplify and standardize our legacy processes to reduce the operational workload and decrease the time to market in our Order to Cash journey. At the first stage Simplify will improve the employee experience and it will also set the foundation for improved customer facing experiences in the years to come.

The candidate will work closely with the Program Director and the others Program Business leads to define roadmaps, drive the standardization, build robust foundations of the new Order to Finance domain and take decision to meet together program milestones.

The candidate will lead a project team composed of 70 persons mainly located in Belgium, Malaysia and India. The project is divided in 3 sub-projects managed by Project manager. Each sub-project is organized in squad following the agile methodology.

What to Expect?

  • Vision and Strategy:
    • Medium term. Define and communicate the Simplify WDI strategy and roadmaps to drive the standardization, build robust foundations of the new Order to Finance domain and take decision to meet together program milestones.
    • Long term - define and communicate the CI product portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmaps to ensure we’re always one step ahead of industry trends and business needs.
  • Collaborate and Connect: Serve as the critical liaison between business stakeholders and cross-functional squads, ensuring seamless communication, strong relationships, and alignment across the board.
  • Drive Product Excellence: Oversee the entire product lifecycle—from ideation to delivery—ensuring alignment with customer needs and company/tribe vision. You’ll be the driving force behind creating impactful, value-driven products.
  • Lead with Impact: Lead, mentor and inspire a talented team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment that’s focused on growth and success. Empower individuals to achieve both personal and project goals.
  • Big Picture and Connectivity: Develop a holistic understanding of the business, connect different areas, and ensure alignment between goals and capabilities.
  • Project Organization & Delivery: Establish clear project structures, define the approach and organizational frameworks. Oversee delivery against the agreed scope, baseline plan, and budget. Provide leadership and direction to ensure successful, timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Program Reporting & Risk Management: Provide regular, transparent updates to the Steering Board to support informed decision-making. Work closely with the Programme Director to assess and mitigate risks, ensuring proactive management of potential challenges.
  • Tribe Leadership: Contribute to the Tribe’s success, strategy, and culture, and represent the Tribe in various forums. Promote usage of CI capabilities to address business challenges. What Will Make You Successful?

To succeed, you should have a keen interest in our Tribe’s and project scope. You should have a solid understanding of customer experience and of the Order to Cash process. You need to quickly grasp new content and be able to make it relevant towards different audiences (stakeholders, technical teams, squads, leadership). Being a change agent with an inquisitive mindset, you should challenge the status quo and support change. Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively and inspire, coach, and mentor others. A can-do attitude and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and pivot quickly are also crucial.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an agile environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and vision-setting capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of both business and technical aspects of product development.
