SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (SCM) EXECUTIVE

Key Responsibilities 1. Lead, strategize, plan, and manage activities related to the company's purchasing of raw materials from local and overseas manufacturers, warehousing, and distribution of finished goods at an optimum efficiency level. 2. Analyse daily stock data for raw materials and finished goods to ensure accurate inventory tracking and planning. 3. Collaborate and coordinate with sales, purchasing, production, quality control (QC), warehouse, and logistics teams to maintain smooth operations. 4. Communicate effectively with suppliers to negotiate terms, address issues, and build strong supplier relationships. 5. Manage and guide a team of purchasers to achieve departmental goals and maintain operational efficiency. 6. Implement process improvements to enhance the supply chain's effectiveness and efficiency. 7. Maintain sufficient inventory levels to meet production and sales demands without overstocking or shortages. 8. Manage overall cost control to optimize spending on raw materials, warehousing, and distribution. Job requirements: 1. Candidates must possess a degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. 2. Applicants should have proven experience in supply chain management, particularly in raw materials procurement and inventory management. 3. Strong analytical skills are required to analyse daily stock data and identify trends for better decision-making. 4. Excellent collaboration and communication skills are necessary to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers. 5. Leadership skills are essential to manage a team of purchasers and drive team performance. 6. Experience in implementing process improvements within the supply chain is an added advantage. 7. The ability to maintain sufficient inventory levels while managing cost control is crucial. 8. Knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations is required. 9. Proficiency in using supply chain management software or ERP systems is highly desirable. 10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are necessary.
