Reservation Executive (Inbound)

Purpose of the role Asian Trails’ Reservation Executive is a key component of the complete reservation process including starting from receiving requests from travel agents abroad; prepare offers and quotations, timely follow-up and booking of all services with our branch offices, hotels and suppliers in Malaysia and Singapore. You are also responsible for timely preparing and booking all travel related services with hotels and other suppliers as well as the invoicing process and payment collection. You will play an important role to: • Responsible for the preparation of tailor-made travel packages, market product development, reservations and complaints handling both for individual as well as group travel requests of all travel-related requirements in Malaysia and Singapore. • Organize and participate in familiarization trips and perform sales calls with travel agents abroad. • Organize site inspections and involve in rates negotiations with hotels and ground suppliers. • Coordination with Contracting, Operations and Finance departments for accommodations, land services and payment booking related matters. • Ensure all relevant booking data is uploaded in Asian Trails’ administration system appropriately • Actively involved in the training of the Reservations team. To be successful in this role, you will need to have: • Bachelor’s degree in the hospitality and tourism industry • Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in a travel & tourism company • Excellent command of English – both verbally and in writing – is essential. Knowledge of European language is definitely seen as an asset; • Knowledge of Malaysia and Singapore’s destinations is a must and experience with Destination Management software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is an advantage. • Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and work flexible hours during peak season.
