To accelerate this expansion, we are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer who will shape our global marketing vision, drive revenue targets, and foster a dynamic team culture. Role Overview The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will be responsible for the end-to-end marketing strategy and execution at BrioHR. This individual will develop and drive integrated campaigns that elevate our brand presence, optimize customer acquisition, and deepen engagement within both existing and new markets—particularly in French-speaking countries and across Asia. Additionally, the CMO will build and manage a cross-functional team of both specialists and generalists, ensuring synergy and high performance across multiple channels. You will work closely with the executive team (including Sales, Product, and Operations) to set measurable targets, allocate budgets, and align marketing efforts with overall business objectives in our early-stage, high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities - Global Marketing Strategy & Execution Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan covering brand, digital, content, and field marketing activities. Translate company-wide goals into clear, measurable marketing KPIs (e.g., lead generation, conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, LTV). Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels and touchpoints, with a strong focus on French-speaking markets and culturally nuanced strategies for Asia. - Team Building & Leadership Recruit, mentor, and retain a diverse team of marketing professionals—ranging from performance marketers and creative specialists to generalists capable of wearing multiple hats. Foster a data-driven, collaborative culture that values innovation, accountability, and personal development. Provide leadership and guidance to the Performance and Growth Marketing Manager and other team leads. - Partnerships & Regional Collaborations Identify and drive strategic partnerships across Asia to expand market reach, tapping into local networks and industry alliances. Engage with French-speaking stakeholders, forming relationships that support co-marketing, joint ventures, and community-building initiatives. - Budgeting & Target Setting Own the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to deliver high ROI. Collaborate with Finance and other executives to forecast and manage marketing spend, aligning investments with short- and long-term growth objectives. Monitor performance against set targets (e.g., MQLs, SQLs, revenue contribution) and report to the executive team regularly. - Data-Driven Insights & Reporting Oversee the implementation and optimization of analytics frameworks to track, measure, and report on campaign performance. Use insights to refine strategies, run A/B tests, and continuously improve marketing approaches. Leverage the following tools: Google Analytics, HubSpot, Canva, SEMrush, and more, to lead a comprehensive view of the customer journey. - Cross-Functional Collaboration Work hand-in-hand with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to synchronize lead generation, product launches, and client retention initiatives. Ensure smooth handovers between marketing and sales, optimizing for conversion at each stage of the funnel. Encourage open communication and feedback loops to promote a unified customer experience. - Global Brand Management & Cultural Adaptability Uphold and evolve a brand that resonates across diverse cultural contexts, showcasing sensitivity and adaptability in messaging. Ensure marketing materials are localized effectively for French-speaking countries and various Asian markets. Champion cultural awareness within the team to respect regional nuances and consumer behaviors. Qualifications & Skills - Startup & SaaS Experience 5+ years of marketing leadership experience in early-stage startups (with demonstrated exposure to Series A/B startups) Demonstrated success in SaaS environments, preferably with products that have scaled globally and having built strong partnership driven GTM motions - Global Exposure & Cultural Adaptability 5+ years of work experience outside of your home country, showcasing your ability to operate effectively in diverse cultural landscapes. Proven track record in French-speaking markets and experience partnering across Asian regions. - Technical & Analytical Mastery Proficiency in Google Analytics, HubSpot, Canva, and other contemporary martech and sales enablement tools common in early-stage startups. Strong analytical mindset to interpret performance data, understand growth levers, and make data-driven decisions. - Strategic Leadership & Budget Management History of defining and executing marketing strategies that meet or exceed revenue and growth targets. Skilled in budget planning, resource allocation, and ROI measurement—particularly in resource-constrained startup environments. - Team Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration Experience building, coaching, and retaining high-performing marketing teams consisting of both specialists and generalists. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with executive leadership, sales, product, and customer success teams. - Innovative Mindset & Adaptability Comfortable iterating in fast-paced, evolving environments while maintaining a clear strategic vision.
