Position: Graphic / Product Designer (Mandarin Speaker) Company: Footer Malaysia Industry: Clothing wholesaler Company Location: G Tower, Kuala Lumpur Working Hours: Flexible schedule (Mon-fri) Salary Range: RM4500 to RM6000 Job Description • Concept Development: Research and analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to generate fresh, creative, and functional sock designs. • Product Design: Develop innovative design concepts, including pattern, color, and construction, while ensuring designs align with the brand's aesthetics and client-specific needs. • Collaboration with Product Teams: Work closely with product development, merchandising, and manufacturing teams to ensure that designs meet both aesthetic and production requirements. • Tasks Management: Monitor progress, scheduling of various design tasks and provide assistance for client-specific design requirements. • Projects Management: Oversee collaboration with external photography projects, integrate workflow, and monitor progress and budget. • Technical Specifications: Plan product photography, review visuals, coordinate layout and export of items, handle vendor quotations, comparisons, approve materials and monitor printing progress. • Trend Analysis: Stay updated on global trends in footwear and athletic performance socks, incorporating new technology and materials as appropriate. • Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback to elevate overall team design standards. • Guidance: Provide guidance on design standards and assist in resolving issues in design implementation to relevant personnel, ensure accountability in task execution, and conduct periodic performance reviews. • Other Duties: Other relevant duties will be assigned from time to time by direct superior. Job Requirements: • At least Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Industrial Design, or any related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior design role, ideally within a corporate or agency environment in sock design, footwear, apparel design or any other related fields. • Proven track record of managing design projects from concept to execution, including liaising with clients and external vendors. • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes for textiles and apparel products. • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is essential, as the role involves engaging with the Taiwan market.
