FULL JOB DESCRIPTION The Estate Manager will oversee all aspects of the management and maintenance of a private estate. This position involves managing both the operational and financial aspects of the property while ensuring it meets the highest standards of cleanliness, security and functionality. KEY ACTIVITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Property Maintenance and Upkeep Oversee regular maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds and equipment to ensure everything is in optimal condition. This includes managing contractors, scheduling inspections and supervising routine maintenance tasks. 2. Staff Management Recruit, train and supervise household staff including housekeepers, gardeners, chefs and security personnel. Ensure all staff perform their duties to the highest standard. 3. Budgeting and Financial Management Develop and manage the estate’s budget ensuring all expenses are within allocated limits. Oversee payments, invoices and financial reporting related to the estate. 4. Vendor and Contractor Coordination Identify and hire contractors for specialized work (e.g., landscaping, plumbing, electrical, etc.), ensuring they deliver quality service and stay within budget. 5. Security Manage the estate’s security systems and personnel including monitoring surveillance cameras coordinating security patrols and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. 6. Event Planning and Coordination Assist in organizing and coordinating events at the estate such as parties, gatherings or meetings. Oversee logistics, catering and guest accommodations. 7. Estate Grounds and Gardens Ensure the grounds are properly maintained including overseeing the gardening team and maintaining outdoor areas like pools, lawns and walkways. 8. Travel and Logistical Support Arrange travel and accommodations for family members, staff or guests when necessary. Coordinate transportation, schedules and other logistical needs. 9. Health and Safety Compliance Ensure the estate complies with all relevant health and safety regulations including fire safety, health codes and insurance requirements.
