Financial management Reporting:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards, or local accounting regulations.
  • Develop and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded properly.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to align financial plans with company goals.
  • Prepare accurate financial forecasts to guide decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Cash Flow & Risk Management:

  • Manage company cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
  • Oversee financial risk management, including credit, currency, and operational risks.
  • Implement strategies to optimize working capital and enhance financial efficiency.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, and withholding tax.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial laws and best practices to ensure compliance and minimize financial risk.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
  • Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior financial management role.
  • Able to communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management software (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
