Financial management Reporting:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards, or local accounting regulations.
- Develop and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded properly.
- Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to align financial plans with company goals.
- Prepare accurate financial forecasts to guide decision-making and resource allocation.
- Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Cash Flow & Risk Management:
- Manage company cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Oversee financial risk management, including credit, currency, and operational risks.
- Implement strategies to optimize working capital and enhance financial efficiency.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, and withholding tax.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial laws and best practices to ensure compliance and minimize financial risk.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior financial management role.
- Able to communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
