Our client is a leading manufacturer in the plastic industry with over 40 years of experience. As a listed company, we have been growing and expanding our operations, delivering high-quality plastic products across Malaysia and beyond. With the increasing demand in Sarawak, they are strengthening our factory operations and looking for a dedicated Plant Manager/ Factory Manager to oversee and improve our Kuching factory.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Plant Manager/ Factory Manager to lead and manage factory operations at the Kuching plant. The ideal candidate will work closely with HQ in Kuala Lumpur to implement process improvements, enhance efficiency, and ensure smooth production operations. The Factory Manager will focus on management and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage daily factory operations in Kuching.
  • Ensure smooth production processes and maximize efficiency.
  • Act as the main person-in-charge between the Kuching factory and HQ in Kuala Lumpur.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to optimize plant operations.
  • Handle production issues, machine upgrades, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Be on-call for emergencies, even beyond working hours.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to the production team to achieve organizational goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in plant operations management.
  • Mechanical engineering background is required (for machinery & production process understanding).
  • Knowledge of extrusion, injection molding, and roll molding is preferred.
  • Industry experience in plastic manufacturing is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with HDPE and UPVC resin materials is a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of factory operations.
  • Willingness to be on standby for urgent factory issues.
