SENIOR EXECUTIVE (HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY & ENVIRONMENT)

Main responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and supporting all phases of assigned Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) tasks and programs to ensure a safe, secure and healthy work and learning environment, in line with PAAB's HSSE policies and procedures, regulatory standards and national guidelines.

Tasks:
1. Prepare, plan, and monitor ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation and certification for the Company.
2. Update and prepare HSSE SOPs and policies to align with the latest Company and legislative requirements.
3. Provide assistance and support to PAAB on HSSE compliance and issues when required.
4. Prepare, plan, monitor and carry out HSSE audits, general surveillance, KPI tracking, performance planning and control measures.
5. Plan and conduct HSSE briefings and training for staff and contractors.
6. Prepare minutes and presentations and follow up on action items from the Operations HSSE Committee and HQ HSSE Committee.
7. Review and analyze HSSE statistics and prepare lessons learned, e-cards and newsletters.
8. Coordinate and implement HSSE promotional programs to achieve a high level of HSSE awareness and understanding among staff, contractors, visitors and stakeholders.
9. Assist in conducting Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) for PAAB work activities and disseminate the information to all staff.
10. Participate in accident/incident investigation teams for major accidents/incidents and follow up until closure with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), the Department of Environment (DOE), or any related agencies.
11. Engage with DOSH, DOE, MOH, Police, CIDB, NIOSH, Bomba, SPAN and other related agencies to obtain the latest information on HSSE matters and disseminate it to PAAB management and staff.
12. Perform other related tasks as instructed from time to time by Management and/or the immediate superior.

Requirements:
 Recognized degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field;
 At least 4 years of experience in HSSE;
 Experience with and familiarity in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation and certification;
 Preferably have passed the NIOSH exam for Safety & Health Officer or be a registered Green Book holder;
 Any environmental competency is an added advantage;
 Proficiency in the use of the MS Office suite, including MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint;
 Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia is required;
 Excellent report writing, presentation and public speaking skills are essential;
 The candidate should possess good leadership attributes and be energetic;
 Being self-motivated, analytical, resourceful and having strong integrity are important qualities; and
 A positive working attitude and willingness to travel are expected.
