1. Inventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming goods (raw materials, ingredients, packaging, etc.) to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using management software or manual systems.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders with suppliers as needed.
  • Track expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out).

2. Storage and Organization

  • Store all items in appropriate conditions (e.g., dry storage, refrigerated, or frozen) to maintain quality and safety.
  • Organize the storeroom for efficient space utilization and easy access.
  • Label and categorize all items clearly for quick identification.

3. Distribution

  • Issue items to the kitchen and bakery teams based on requisition forms or production schedules.
  • Ensure timely delivery of items to avoid disruptions in production.
  • Maintain records of all items issued and returned.

4. Health and Safety Compliance

  • Keep the storeroom clean, organized, and pest-free.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring proper handling and storage of perishable items.
  • Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the relevant department.

5. Waste Management

  • Monitor and minimize waste by tracking spoilage, damage, and overstocking.
  • Dispose of expired or damaged items according to company policies and regulations.

6. Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
  • Assist in periodic audits and stock-taking exercises.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve inventory management processes.

7. Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the kitchen, bakery, and procurement teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and delivery personnel.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification in inventory management or supply chain is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or a similar role, preferably in a food production or hospitality environment.
  • Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and practices (e.g., HACCP) is preferred.
  • Able to communicate in English.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and work in cold storage areas if required.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify issues and implement solutions quickly.
