Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for plant employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and process optimization.
  • Provide both theoretical and hands-on training to ensure employees understand plant systems, machinery, and operations.
  • Monitor day-to-day plant operations to identify areas for improvement and provide guidance to ensure smooth and safe functioning.
  • Evaluate and improve the knowledge and skills of the plant workforce to boost operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure all employees are trained in safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA, environmental regulations).
  • Prepare and maintain training materials, manuals, and documentation for all plant operation-related training programs.
  • Document employee progress and identify skill gaps or further training needs.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements for training programs to enhance the effectiveness of the operation.
  • Work with plant managers and other stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and workforce competency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field is often required.
  • Certifications related to plant operations, machinery, or safety may be preferred (e.g., Six Sigma, OSHA, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Proven experience in plant operations, machinery, and industrial processes, usually 5 - 10 years or more.
  • Previous experience as a trainer, supervisor, or manager within an industrial or manufacturing setting is often required.
  • Strong understanding of plant systems, machinery, and production processes.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, operational diagnostics, and process optimization.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and train employees.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and manage different skill levels.
