JOB SUMMARY- A Senior Accountant is a mid-level professional who oversees the company’s accounting department.
- They take ownership of every aspect that goes into producing an organization's report, from cost-productivity and margins to expenditures.
JOB DUTIES- Perform accounts reconciliation and advise on journal entries for ledger posting.
- Prepare journal vouchers, data entry, and draft accounts for monthly closing.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, including a detailed analysis of expenditures for proper account coding and accuracy.
- Prepare and review monthly accounts, cash position, and compile management reports in a timely manner.
- Detect inconsistencies in the Account Receivables & Payable accounts between system records and daily records.
- Monitor and resolve outstanding balance sheet items (e.g., accruals, miscellaneous receivable items).
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and monthly account reconciliation.
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements daily to provide timely information to management.
- Respond to buyer questions regarding the statement of account during weekends/rest days/on leave when necessary and reply as soon as possible.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
- Align general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Liaise with auditors and tax agents and prepare schedules for end-month and year-end annual audits.
- Examine and evaluate financial processes and systems to recommend controls ensuring system reliability and data integrity.
- Perform any ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
- Adhere to and follow company policies and procedures.
