JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Experience : 6-8 years of direct industry experience required. 3-5 years direct procurement with airline / partners preferred.
Education : College Degree from 4 year university. Additionally, education in logistics / supply chain arena preferred.
Knowledge/
Technical Skills : Must be fluent in Excel, Word and other PC applications.
Personal Traits : Outstanding communication skills, detail oriented, organized, team-oriented, high-energy, dependable, willing to travel, etc.
Hours of
Work : Full Time 8:30 – 5:00 Monday thru Friday (outside standard business hours as needed).

JOB SUMMARY:
Procurement:
- Built and maintain excellent relationships on behalf of PSA/BDP International – in essence, become the ‘face’ of PSA/BDP International to the airlines.
- With Carriers
- With Partners (co-loaders / gha / truckers)
- Negotiate all Regional agreements with PSA/BDP’s core airlines & partners.
- Create a “winning and sustainable infrastructure”.
- Create Consolidation hubs ex PVG, HKG, SIN and KUL/BKK
- Create and maintain Core “Carrier” Concept to spend > 70% contribution within limited group of partners
- Managing the Pricing Rights; Local, Regional and Global
- Managing Regional pricing Approach > 5, 000Kgs
- Set Monthly Top lane Pricing.
- Development of regional Airfreight Products & assist with the development of local airfreight products (inbound and outbound) and our Commercial teams
- Support and set the growth in KPI’s for the air product through close interaction with the business leaders with an objective of growing PSA/BDP’s tonnage and profitability. In these interactions with business leaders, ensure every experience is a positive one for both the internal and external customer.
- Accountable in Tender, Implementation and Retention Process
- Responsible for assisting in consistent consolidation startup for both key import and & key export lanes
- Tradelane Approach to work with overseas and give people access to your region
- Be Commercial. Support Sales by offering solutions incl outside the box
- Self-starter. Able to work independently to achieve goals.
- Manage/Guide small operations teams in our consolidation hubs.
- Build bridges between our Asia operations
Assumes accountability for Procurement relative to:
- Securing marketable buy rates; ULD’s / CPA / consolidation programs for PSA/BDP’s air freight product.
- Support sales efforts within PSA/BDP to gain new business opportunities for the airfreight product.
- Assist gateways with local contract negotiations / rate efforts.
- Monitor Innovations and changes in the Industries landscape.
- Accountable to for updating Catapult with current rate levels for all air products.
- Coordinating with the pricing team for daily rate quotes over 5,000 kgs Regional Spot desk
- Coordinating with the RFQ team when special buys needed for regional and global RFQ’s
- Responsible to communicate all rate changes and carrier changes/agreements with operations globally and with key customers.
- Maintain and create reports to run the airfreight business, Monthly Market Air Product Update with KPI’s
- Analyze reports to spot trends and advise MD’s and sales where the market trend is heading.
- Work in conjunction with the Global business analyst of BDP Smart Insight to maintain and improve BDP Smart Insight for air
- Responsible to ensure that all air inquiries are handled properly and expeditiously in accordance with corporate standards.
- Effective use of problem-solving skills, innovation and Product strategies.
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Handle individual rate quotes to the group within the time frame provided.
- Assist with tender management team when needed.
- Update FSC and SSC tables in BDP Transport system and advise all operations.
