Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the company's financial health, developing financial strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will play a critical role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory and it’s positioning in the asset management space for digital assets.

Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives in the crypto/asset management space.
  • Lead long-term financial forecasting and planning, ensuring the firm’s financial resources are allocated efficiently to support business growth.
  • Provide financial insights to the executive team, helping to guide critical business decisions and investment strategies.

Financial Operations & Reporting:

  • Oversee all aspects of the firm’s financial operations, including accounting, reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Tax Optimization & Structuring – Work with tax advisors to ensure efficient fund flows between Malaysian and Offshore entities while minimizing tax liabilities.
  • FX & Crypto Conversion – Manage fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat conversions, optimizing for cost and compliance. Must be familiar dealing with multiple currencies and working with different banks.
  • Ensure the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analysis in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Have experience dealing with an external Fund Administrator

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, particularly related to market volatility, digital asset valuations, and emerging regulatory frameworks in crypto.
  • Lead efforts to ensure full compliance with cryptocurrency regulations, SC guidelines, and other financial authorities.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and transparency.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, VP of Finance, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in asset management, financial services, or cryptocurrency/ blockchain industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance issues relevant to digital assets.
  • Strong knowledge of FX, cryptocurrencies, digital asset valuation
  • Proven ability to lead complex financial initiatives, with a deep understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with investors, board members, and regulators.
