Job Overview:
The Business Development team is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities that align with ADA-ASIA.com’s E-commerce strategy. The team works closely with other departments within the organization to identify and evaluate new revenue streams, partnerships, and market trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the form of D2C/Brand dot com mandates from leading Brands and Retailers
- Own the entire Sales process for growing ADA’s D2C/Brand dot com business from prospecting, hunting, qualification, pitch & proposal, negotiating and contracting
- Ability to identify the prospects as per Ideal Client Profile (ICP) and develop Client hunt list
- Hunt for the prospects leveraging various Sales methodologies like cold calling, cold emails, cold inmails, events networking etc
- Thoroughly understand client needs and requirements and adequately qualify leads using tools such as Qualification Questionnaires
- Negotiate and close deals with new clients
- Collaborate with other departments like Technology, Commercial, Marketing, Operations etc to ensure meaningful proposal crafting as well as right solutioning as per Client’s requirements
- Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth
- Meet or exceed annual Net Revenue targets for the D2C E-commerce division
- Build/nurture relationship with ecosystem partners and vendors so as to garner new leads and referrals from them, so as to grow ADA’s D2C E-commerce business
- Responsible for D2C/Brand dot Com sales growth in Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines markets
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 5 -10 years of experience in business development, comprising selling E-Commerce solutions like (included but not limited to) Website Development, Systems Integrations, CRM, CRO, Mar-Tech, Managed Services like Demand Generation, Performance Marketing, Store Ops, Fulfilment etc
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing deals in the Brand Dot com space
- Established network of Brand Contacts in Fashion, Health & Beauty, Home & Living, Electronics etc
- Well versed in one or more E-Commerce Technology platform/SAAS based selling including but not limited to Shopify, Magento/Adobe, Salesforce Commerce Cloud etc
- Capable of C-Suites stakeholder management
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Understanding of E-commerce industry trends and competition
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decision making
- Strong project management skills
