Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Manage end-to-end AP processes, including invoice verification, approvals, and preparation for payment run.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices in compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
- Reconcile AP transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
- Monitor payment schedules and prepare cash flow forecasts for AP-related expenses.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations.
Fixed Assets (FA):
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register for project sites in Malaysia.
- Record asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation in accordance with accounting policies.
- Perform regular fixed asset reconciliation and ensure proper documentation.
- Support the finance team in conducting periodic asset verification exercises.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
General Accounting and Compliance:
- Support financial audits by preparing schedules and providing required documentation.
- Ensure adherence to local tax and accounting regulations in Singapore and Malaysia.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and other ad-hoc finance projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, etc.) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive, etc.).
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero or similar is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and local tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with vendors, internal teams, and auditors.
- Prior experience in handling multi-entity accounting across different countries.
