The HR Operations Specialist (Thai-speaking) will be responsible for supporting and executing a range of HR operations and administrative tasks for our business units in Thailand, while being based at our Kuala Lumpur office. The incumbent will ensure compliance with Thai labor regulations and internal policies, liaise with local stakeholders, and collaborate closely with the regional HR team to optimize HR service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employment documentation, onboarding/offboarding processes, and HR data management for Thai-based employees.
- Coordinate with the regional HR team to maintain and update employee records in compliance with Thai labor laws and internal corporate policies.
- Keep abreast of Thai labor legislation updates; proactively communicate any changes to management and implement necessary adjustments in policies and procedures.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports and filings required by Thai authorities in coordination with legal and finance teams.
- Serve as a point of contact for Thai-speaking employees regarding HR policies, employee relations issues, and conflict resolution.
- Assist in organizing and executing employee engagement initiatives and cultural programs to enhance workplace satisfaction.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to HR processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the implementation of new HR initiatives, systems, and tools across the organization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align HR processes with overarching business objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a dynamic work environment
- Strong familiarity with Thai labor laws and regulations; additional knowledge of Malaysian labor law is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with local and regional teams
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines
- Proven problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
