You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and training, encounter various opportunities, and be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipelines, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about data, including databases, coding, or building data pipelines, and can optimize and build data systems from the ground up.
You will be working with the Data team located in Malaysia and:
- Be part of one of the leading InsurTech ecosystems in the world
- Get to know the entire Data process, from extraction to delivery.
- Being involved in data projects across Asia
- Support daily operations and our internal stakeholders
- Significant exposure to senior management
- Learn the fundamental skill sets required as Data engineer
- Assist in the development and maintenance of data pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Aid the team with troubleshooting, researching the root cause, and thoroughly resolving defects in the event of a problem.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze data requirements and implement scalable solutions.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Support the integration of data from various sources, including APIs, databases, and cloud platforms.
- Assist in product documentation describing, workflows, data processes and dictionaries.
- Gain hands-on experience with big data technologies, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud services.
- Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- An eager individual to join our growing team of data enthusiasts.
- A student or recent graduate with strong academic background Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another IT related subject with strong analytical background.
- Eager to address data challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills in verbal and written English
