Job Summary:

Developing, overseeing, and enhancing the training programs within UCTM's operational departments. This role ensures that employees possess the skills, knowledge, and competencies necessary to perform effectively and meeting organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and update training programs tailored to the needs of operational teams.
  • Assess training needs by collaborating with department heads and evaluating performance gaps.
  • Develop and deliver training programs focused on workplace safety, legal compliance, and operational best practices.
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions to operational employees at various levels (e.g., new hires, ongoing skill development, leadership training).
  • Conduct skills assessments and provide recommendations for development plans.
  • Participating in safety, quality and productivity improvement programs to grasps the opportunity to improve the training materials where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and tardiness for audit worthiness.
  • Managing a group of Master Trainers on their OJT performances and record tardiness.
  • Utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other training platforms to deliver and track training programs.
  • Drive Training Needs Analysis process (TNA) for Operations Team.
  • Communicate training goals, schedules, and outcomes (KPI) clearly to all stakeholders.
  • Manage the training department's budget and allocate resources effectively.
  • Embracing lifelong learning by staying updated with industry trends and innovations in training methods and technologies.
  • Other activities as defined by Operations Management from time to time for the purpose of improving employee skills and knowledge.

Education Background:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field is typically required. A Master’s degree or certification in training and development can be a plus.

Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in training, operations, or management, with 2+ years in a leadership role. Candidate is expected to have the passion and virtue of nurturing and bringing out the best in others.

In the absence of above education background, candidates with 10 or more years of working experience managing the Operations Training are also encourage to apply.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency with training tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in Welding and Machinery Mechanical Assembly processes will be added advantage.
