Job Purpose
Lead and manage the overall business planning functions by assessing business environment and evaluating changes and opportunities to ensure long term strategic goals are translated into medium term objectives and aligned with Management and Shareholders’ expectations in maximizing benefits to the Company.
Key Accountabilities
1) Business Strategies
Lead and drive the development of medium term (1-3 years) business plan and strategies as well as granular implementation roadmap for the Company by considering the overall impact on the business and the economic value based on industry forecast, internal and external business environment and market trends to ensure relevant strategies are sustainable to PRefChem business as a whole.
2) Business Planning
Develop the Company’s annual business planning by coordinating and integrating plans from various divisions and aligned to the Company’s overall strategy in order to maximize value and long term growth and sustainability of the Company.
3) Business & Market Analysis
Evaluate and analyse trends, market dynamics, market fundamentals, regulatory or structural change and competitions by identifying threats and opportunities in order to ensure company strategies remain relevant as well as allow management to timeously react to opportunities and threats.
4) Business Growth Opportunities
Evaluate and propose recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, viability of potential business partners and internal business process improvement by undertaking assessment/feasibility study/risk analysis to create and maximize value as well as facilitate decision making.
5) Business Plan Execution
Monitor, track and report the implementation progress of the business plan and strategy by determining action plans and follows up to ensure that the plans are carried out.
6) Strategy Cascading and Communication
Actively promote understanding of the Company’s Strategy and Business Plan in all business units and support functions through engagement with key stakeholders in translating the strategies to ensure seamless strategies cascading, comprehension, adoption and implementation.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or other related field
- Minimum 10 years working experience, preferably in oil and gas industry with exposure in Marketing & Trading, Refining or Planning functions.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
