A global leader in Test & Measurement tools is seeking a dynamic, results-driven professional to oversee business operations in Malaysia.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Country Manager is responsible for achieving business and functional objectives, fostering growth through sales channel partnerships, and developing long-term regional expansion strategies.

This position is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Primary Responsibilities / Duties

  • Develop strategic growth plans, including go-to-market strategies, initiatives, and countermeasures to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.
  • Oversee business development by managing and expanding existing or new sales channels.
  • Collaborate with the regional marketing team to execute brand awareness and market penetration campaigns.
  • Build and manage sales funnels, both directly and through channel partners, to meet overall targets.
  • Drive customer engagement through face-to-face interactions and ensure effective pipeline management, tracking opportunities and follow-ups in the CRM system.
  • Conduct market sizing and competitive analysis for test instruments.
  • Assist the management team in setting strategic objectives and tactical plans.
  • Implement sales policies, procedures, and systems to ensure alignment with corporate guidelines and provide clear direction for the sales team.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Enhance operational efficiency and implement best practices.
  • Lead professional development, motivation, and performance management initiatives.
  • Build and manage a high-performance team to achieve company goals.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Additional qualifications in Business Management, MBA, or Marketing are highly desirable.
  • Strong marketing knowledge and experience in channel management preferred.
  • Proven track record in achieving commercial success and leading regional teams.
  • Industry experience in Utilities, Oil & Gas, or Mining is an advantage.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills with proficiency in relevant software tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage high-performing teams.
  • Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills.
