Responsibilities:
• Teaching subjects: Colour studies, Desktop Publishing, Visual Communication, Typography
• Deliver high-quality lectures and supervise students’ projects.
• Assist in the development of new syllabi and continuous curriculum improvement initiatives.
• Explore diverse teaching and learning methods and propose innovative ideas to enhance the educational experience.
• Develop, administrate and grade students’ projects, exams and assessments.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the curriculum, including the development of learning materials and schemes of work.
• Guide students in art contest submissions.
• Prepare necessary reports and documentation for audits.
• Maintain the database and manage MQA archives.
• Liaise with other departments for students’ activity photoshoots and artwork archiving.
• Oversee part-time lecturers and providing orientation for new faculty members on COBE & attendance systems.
• Provide pastoral care and support to students, monitoring their progress, achievement, and attendance.
• Maintain continuous professional development to stay abreast of industry trends.
• Coordinate departmental events.
• Assist the Head of Department in managing the department’s activities effectively.
Requirements:
• Possess at least a diploma in graphic design, advertising, education or a related field.
• Have at least 5 years of teaching/ industry experience in relevant field.
• Demonstrate creative and practical problem-solving skills for design challenges.
• Exhibit strong technical skills in line with industry standards and professional practice.
• Work effectively both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
