Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Executive in Purchasing to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for obtaining quotes, comparing prices, raising purchase orders, monitoring delivery, and checking invoices and delivery orders (DO) for payment processing to ensure the seamless procurement of materials and services for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Request and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery schedules to determine the best options.
  • Raise and process purchase orders for construction materials and services in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of materials and services.
  • Check and verify invoices and delivery orders (DO) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process payment requests and coordinate with the account department for timely payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, delivery schedules, and other relevant data.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors and design team to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the construction industry, is an advantage but not required.
