Key Responsibilities: -
Business Project Management.
Managing Role
- Advice team on how to plan time, cost and resources effectively to ensure timeline is met and risk is managed.
- Ensure project management plan's deliverables are executed accordingly by team.
- Coaching to ensure team well equipped with relevant technical knowledge.
Initiation
- Lead the discussion within business users and relevant parties to determine the nature and scope of the project/initiative.
- To understanding the business environment and making sure that all necessary controls are incorporated into the project/initiative.
- Analyzing the business needs/requirements in measurable goals, reviewing the current operations, financial analysis of the costs and benefits including budget, stakeholders’ analysis including users and support personnel for the project/initiative and preparing the project/initiative charter including costs, tasks, deliverables and schedules.
Planning
- Craft out the project/initiative scope which includes timeline, resources, estimated cost, risk and etc.
- Ensure respective trainings in place, when necessary, especially if there are changes in system or process.
Execution
- Ensures that the project/initiative plan is executed accordingly.
- Properly allocate, coordinate and manage resources, materials and budgets.
Monitoring & Control
- Monitoring and controlling of those processes performed to observe project/initiative execution so that potential problems can be identified in a timely manner and corrective action can be taken, when necessary.
- Measure and track the ongoing project/initiative activities and deliverables, monitor the project/initiative variables (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project/initiative plan and identifying corrective actions to address issues and risks properly (if any)
- Ensure adherence to timelines.
- Keep team members and stakeholders informed of key developments, decisions, issues, and changes to the project/initiative plan.
- To ensure project/initiative/system readiness and proper sign-off before launching/go live.
- Post launching/go live monitoring on performances.
Closure
- Post project/initiative implementation review.
Key Qualifications: -
- Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
- Qualification in project management or equivalent.
- Certified in project management, service lean sigma or Six Sigma is a plus.
- Working experience in Insurance Industry, preferably in General Insurance or Project Management with minimum 5 years’ experience.
- Knowledge of the general insurance’s market landscape, and able to translate into performance target.
- Strong expertise in insurance products and operations.
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
- Proficient in project management software.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proven experience in people management.
- Planning and organizing.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Influencing and leading along with good stress tolerance.
