Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in Production & Operations and a minimum of 15 years in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working with Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) units and be capable of overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, with potential offshore visits as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily production and operational activities to optimize performance and efficiency.
- Oversee FSO operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective production processes.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations, industry best practices, and local regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with offshore and onshore teams, contractors, and third-party service providers.
- Monitor production performance and troubleshoot operational challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and operational personnel.
- Report directly to senior management on production status, challenges, and key operational metrics.
- Support asset integrity management, ensuring maintenance and reliability programs are effectively executed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Production & Operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven experience in managing FSO operations.
- Strong knowledge of offshore production systems, equipment, and maintenance processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including offshore teams and external vendors.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or related field) is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) units is an added advantage.
- Prior experience working with an E&P Operator.
- Certification in HSE, process safety, or production operations is a plus.
