Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in Production & Operations and a minimum of 15 years in the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working with Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) units and be capable of overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, with potential offshore visits as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily production and operational activities to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee FSO operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective production processes.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations, industry best practices, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with offshore and onshore teams, contractors, and third-party service providers.
  • Monitor production performance and troubleshoot operational challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and operational personnel.
  • Report directly to senior management on production status, challenges, and key operational metrics.
  • Support asset integrity management, ensuring maintenance and reliability programs are effectively executed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Production & Operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proven experience in managing FSO operations.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore production systems, equipment, and maintenance processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including offshore teams and external vendors.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or related field) is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) units is an added advantage.
  • Prior experience working with an E&P Operator.
  • Certification in HSE, process safety, or production operations is a plus.
